Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Services
Partial Hospitalization Programs provide intensive, structured, non-residential care for individuals requiring daily support for serious mental health issues. PHPs bridge the gap between inpatient and outpatient care, offering intensive therapy while allowing participants to reside in their own homes. Services align with DBHDS and DMAS guidelines and support stabilization and recovery.​​​​​
Core Services Provided:
Intensive Daily Therapy
Provides a combination of individual, group, and family therapies, focusing on emotional regulation, coping mechanisms, and relapse prevention.
Medication Management and Psychiatric Support
Daily monitoring of medications and regular psychiatric evaluations to support treatment plans.
Skill-Building for Daily Functioning
- Focuses on skill development for emotional management, personal care, and independence.
- Provides training in managing responsibilities, social skills, and other life skills.
Crisis Intervention and Safety Planning
- Offers immediate intervention for behavioral crises.
- Develops individualized crisis plans to help participants manage symptoms in real-life situations.
Transition Planning and Coordination of Care
- Plans for transitioning participants to lower levels of care or community resources.
- Involves collaboration with outpatient providers to ensure continuous support post-PHP.
Eligibility
Documented mental health diagnosis, high-level treatment needs, and stable enough for non-residential care.
​Consumer Direct Care Services
Consumer-directed personal assistance services help individuals with their daily needs, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and assistance with self-administration of medication. They may also be used to support individuals with their activities of daily living (ADLs) at work and other places in their communities. This service is available in the HIV/AIDS, EDCD, ID/MR, and IFDDS Waivers.
